THE BOHO CROPPED PANT

Hi, boho babes!

This week I have been channeling a lot of different boho outfits. It's definitely a style that I have fallen madly in love with in the past couple of years. I think it is so feminine, sultry and it lets a woman express her soul. I have gotten these cropped pants at the beginning of summer and worn them a LOT styled with crop tops, casual tees and dressier tops, but this look is by far my favorite due to all the layering that I was able to add to it. I think cropped pants are a great alternative for us shorter gals. I don't know about you, but I always struggle with pants being way too long and not fitting my body right. And for some reason, I always gravitate toward all of these bohemian styles that were designed for beautiful gazelles of women. Haha!

Anyway, this weekend I was piecing together an outfit for a birthday dinner and evening shenanigans. I knew that I didn't want to wear anything tight or short, so I came up with a great alternative. I styled my favorite cropped pants with a white off-the-shoulder blouse with embroidered sleeves (very Parisian). The rest was so much fun to create by layering arm candy in the blue hues and dainty little rings. I also added a comfortable, chunky pair of heels with fringe (DUH!). Nothing says boho like fringe accessories. I also found this awesome fringe clutch at Goodwill a while back and it matched my shoes perfectly. I was super comfortable in my little boho ensemble, but also felt dressy enough to attend a birthday party. Needless to say that all of my friends were a tad bit jealous of how comfy my outfit was for a night out. I say you ditch the while dressing in tight clothing trend and wear only clothes that let you move and live your life to the fullest. And remember, I like you...so you should like YOU, too.

P.S. I felt like I needed to address the elephant in the room, aka my black-blue(-ish) hair. I recently got my hair colored and Ioved it, but deep down inside I am a brunette. I just can't seem to enjoy experimenting with hair color. So back to black I go. I did use a box dye, however, that evidently had some weird blue-tinted undertones in it. I kind of like it though...for the time being. I'll update you if anything changes, but most likely you don't actually care that much about the color of my hair and that's cool too. I hope you all have a lovely week, month, year, hour and stay weird.

xoxo,

Aida Zhan
