You live but once; you might as well be amusing
— Coco Chanel

I think by now (as in the 21st century) we have realized that there are no "rules"to fashion. We mix prints, we wear things that don't match and we can even borrow things from men.

I have always loved blazers, but never thought they were for me or would look good on me. However, I have a personal rule to always give something a chance at least once. So, I was doing some online shopping and stumbled upon this oversized blazer from ASOS. I immediately pictured it with these distressed jeans from 7 For All Mankind (which mind you is my favorite pair of jeans). AND by the way, these jeans are on MAJOR SALE right meow, so take this opportunity to stock up on some fab jeans. I literally wear these jeans so much and the quality of them is truly impeccable.  I styled this look with lots of red details for a little bit of a feminine touch and added a kitten heel for that same reason. And I must admit, I love the way it came out. Something about wearing a blazer made me feel very empowered and even my posture was better that day.

I am a huge fan of shopping in the men's section. You just never know what you may find. I do this a lot when thrifting or bargain shopping, because men's section is hardly ever sold out or out of stock.  So next time you feel like you have nothing to wear, I suggest you raid your boyfriend's/husband's/brother's closet for some clothes. And don't forget to check out the men's section while shopping. You never know what you might find. I hope you enjoyed this look.

Until next time, be good and do good...
