Hello, darlings! So glad you found the time to read this, thank you.
I had so much fun with this look and really encouraged myself to try new things. I found this amazing blazer-cape a while ago via Poshmark for a really great price, but it's been sitting in my closet unworn and unloved and all because I wasn't confident enough to wear it. I kept trying to find the perfect "thing" to style with the blazer-cape without any luck.
Anyway, I decided to just throw it on one day with some jeans and a tee and I loved the way it looked. I am a big believer in self-expression through the outer layers of a person. I think it's healthy and it's a necessary part of being your true self. Another thing I learned is that there is never an inappropriate time to wear black and white together. It is such a classic pairing, like coffee and milk, ramen and microwaves, popcorn and butter, beach and sand. I will NEVER get tired of these two colors and if all colors cease to exist today and I could only pick two, I would be completely fine with black and white. This look is a little different, I know and not everyone's cup of tea. I didn't think it would be mine either, but I put it all together and felt beautiful wearing it, so that waived all the insecurities away. I hope this was interesting and possibly encouraging if you are on the fence about an item hanging in your own closet. I say, give it a go and if it doesn't work - fine, but at least you tried. All the love to all of you. See you soon (virtually) in my next post.
