Music Fest Obsessed: Episode 1
Hello, darlings and dearests:
For anyone who doesn't know, March is the moth of my Blogiversary. It's basically the 1 year anniversary of Aida's Fashion Bazaar. I remember the day when my first blog post went live like it was yesterday. My outfit was so boring and I somehow managed to write a 500-word blog post describing every detail of my outfit. I was so nervous about the whole process of sharing a huge part of my life with strangers. But really, for the first few months it was just 2 people reading my posts. Thanks, Mom and hubby. You guys are the real MVP's! I am so glad that I stuck with it though. I was able to grow and evolve and so did my blog. I pushed myself and took risks and made myself vulnerable to be able to connect with people. I never wanted this journey of blogging to be about me and my clothes. I am sitting here on my bed thinking about the year I've had and all of the things that have happened and I can't help but smile. I am so glad I took the necessary steps into starting a blog and stuck with it, because all of my hard work paid off. I was able to meet some amazing people along the way and make friends who support my passions and inspire me to work harder on my content. I was able to work with brands that I could never even dream of before and I also reached a huge milestone of surpassing 15k followers on Instagram. But all of that is secondary to the joy that I experience doing what I love. Yes, there are days when it all gets to be too much and the inspiration ceases to exist, but who doesn't have those days? I love what I do and I wouldn't change a thing. I am so excited for what this year is going to have for us in store and I really hope you continue growing with me. It's such an awesome coincidence that my 1 year blog anniversary falls on the same day as International Women's Day. I think it's because from the very beginning I told myself that my blog was not going to be "just another fashion blog" because the industry is already so vain and I most definitely did not want to add to it. I always thought of my blog as a tool to convey a bigger message of self-love, acceptance, spiritual growth and women empowerment. Fashion will never be my message, just merely a tool to encourage women in all walks of life. I want to thank each one of your for continuously showing support this entire year. It means more than you'll ever know. Thank you!
Now for the outfit portion, we are kicking off the month of March with another blog series called "Music Fest Obsessed" where I will be sharing a few looks that would be appropriate to wear to a music festival or a concert. With Coachella approaching in a little over a month, I thought I would give you some ideas of what I would wear. The first look I am sharing is probably the most comfortable because it involves a comfy pair of denim shorts. I paired a simple black crop top with a pair of distressed denim shorts and a western belt to achieve a very boho vibe. I wanted to add a touch of "girly" with this sheer dress, which seems to be a very trendy thing right now. What do you think about it? And of course, it wouldn't be an Aida look without a wide-brimmed hat and some comfy booties. I also recommend bringing some sort of a scarf to tie around your face to avoid sand and dirt getting in your eyes. I linked the outfit and some extras that you may need at a music festival or even a concert. I hope you enjoyed this look and keep your eyeballs out for episode two.
