Winter Skincare Routine with Fresh Beauty

Happy Monday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I spent my weekend mainly at home pampering my skin and watching Netflix. A few weeks ago, I posted a series of Insta Stories sharing my favorite skincare products and a lot of you were very interested to see more. I decided to share my whole routine from start to finish featuring all of my Fresh Beauty products.

I recently was able to visit the Fresh Beauty Boutique here in San Francisco (if you're ever in town, you must make a trip there)! The staff was so friendly and so helpful. I learned a lot of things about the brand and the girls at the Fresh Store helped me pick out the perfect products for my skin type. So, thank you, ladies for all your help.

Let me start by saying that I have always been pretty lucky with skin. I don't recall a time I had terrible acne or anything like that, but like most women, I care about my skin and want it to look young and fresh at all times. My skin is a combination oily type with some discoloration and occasional hormonal breakouts. I am not the kind of girl to fuss too much about skincare and I always want to simplify the steps that I do daily. For me great skin starts with just three steps:

1. Cleanse

2. Exfoliate

3. Moisturize

Those things alone will help you achieve good results if you stick to a daily routine and leave all of your bad habits, such as sleeping in your makeup and popping your pimples.

Here are the steps that I take every single day using my favorite Fresh Beauty skincare products:

Step 1 - I start by cleansing my skin first, whether I'm wearing makeup or not. I have been using the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser to remove all dirt and makeup off of my face. It's great for all skin types and I like the fact that it can cleanse really well without drying the skin. I also like the scent and how it's not overpowering but still has a refreshing feel to it.

Step 2 - I like to make sure my face is squeaky clean even after cleansing it, so I take a cotton round and my Micellar Water from Bioderma. I have been using this for a while now and I like taking the extra step to cleanse my skin with this. The Fresh Cleanser does most of the job and the micellar water helps pick up any any remnants of makeup or oil or under-eye makeup residue. Nothing feels better that clean skin after a long day!

Step 3 - After I thoroughly cleanse my skin, I use the Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner with a cotton round to help remove residual impurities and to refine the appearance of pores. I love that this product is made with real rose petals and that it does not contain any alcohol. I didn't like toners before this one because they were so drying and I hated the burning sensation I got from some of them. This toner is definitely a keeper in my routine and the beautiful packaging is just a cheery on top.

Step 4 - After cleansing and toning, it is time to bring some moisture back into the skin. I first apply this Fresh Peony Spot-Correcting Brightening Essence. So, I had no idea what essence was until the ladies at Fresh told me. It's basically just the same thing as serum and this particular one is recommended as a spot-correcting treatment. I do have some skin discoloration and some dulness, especially in the winter months, so I was highly recommended this product at Fresh. I really like it so far. I don't like the texture as much, but I can say that about any serum. It's just an odd jelly-type texture that I don't really care for much.

Step 5 - Moisturize and moisturize again. I have been using this Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream that is probably one of my favorite products that I picked up at Fresh. I needed a cream that could moisturize my skin but not too much to where it could make me extra oily. This one has the perfect ratio of oils and it absorbs really well allowing me to do my makeup right away. Another step I like to do at the end is to spray a little bit of the Fresh Rose Floral Toner that I spray all over the perimeter of my face to add more moisture and to refresh the skin throughout the day. It's also great for setting makeup and the scent is just heavenly. And I also love this Fresh Sugar Lip Beauty Box that would make the perfect gift for someone. it has 6 of their signature lip treatments and you can try them all out in a mini size. It is a limited edition, so grab one before they are gone.

Extras: and of course, if I have time to pamper my skin with a mask, I highly highly recommend the Fresh Rose Face Mask -- this is a cult favorite product that I have seen so many beauty bloggers rave about recently. I can't say that I do masks often, but this one may have started a new addiction. The only downside is that this mask is on a liquid(-y) side, so just make sure you don't spill it everywhere (like I did).

I hope you enjoyed this post. I know it may seem like a lot of steps, but trust me, it takes me less that 5 minutes to do all the steps and it keeps my skin happy. I am a pretty simple gal when it comes to skincare and I am only willing to do the necessary steps. This routine is lazy-girl proof! Until next time, be good and do good!
