What's Your Swagger ft. Coach
Hi, darlings & dearests:
I am so excited for today's post because it's a huge collaboration with no other than Coach.
The older I got, the more I started to realize the importance of being yourself. In a way, you can say that we all have our own swagger. And no, I am not talking about the definition of the word "swagger" found in the Urban Dictionary. I'm talking about the use of the word as it was intended in the days of Shakespeare. I won't bore you with history or literature or at least not today. But basically, having swagger or swaggering meant to have confidence and knowing your worth.
I just want to encourage people to have their own swagger and that means having confidence to do things differently. And in relation to fashion and style, this simply means developing your own sense of style and being confident in it. I would never in a million years think my style would inspire anyone. I just started wearing clothes that made me feel good and represented my mood at times. I tend to be quite honest with my friends when it comes to fashion. I'm not the kind of friend to lie and just say, "yes, babe that looks amazing". Nope, I always tell my girlfriends that if they don't feel comfortable wearing something then they really shouldn't wear it at all. But I am also the friend that encourages crazy fashion decisions. I remember back in middle school, my friend and I started wearing clothing pins as earrings because we thought it would look so cool. And what do you know? Pretty much everyone followed our example. So, do you and wear whatever the hell you want, as long as it makes you happy.
Now for today's look in collaboration with Coach, I picked out the gorgeous "swagger" bag from their newest collection in this olive green shade with some studded detailing. It's the perfect size for all of your everyday essentials. I, personally, have always been a fan of cross-body bags because I like to have my hands free. This bag adds a drop of edginess to any look. I decided to style it with this maxi skirt in a metallic green shade to play off the colors of the bag. I wore this Led Zeppelin band tee and my Adidas sneakers. For accessories, I added this amazing headband that I got from Dazey LA (it's her collaboration with I'm With the Band Headbands) and some black round Ray-Ban sunglasses. This look is truly ME in every sense of the way and I love how confident it made me feel. I hope this inspires you to try something outside the box. Show the world your swagger!
